ヤマサン正宗 純米吟醸原酒 佐香錦
Founded in 1877 beside the shrine of sake's guardian deity, on Izumo's old cotton-trading street, where five kura buildings are now cultural properties.
Sakemochida Honten was founded in 1877 near Saka Shrine, said to enshrine the deity of sake brewing, in Izumo. Generations of Izumo-toji brewers have carried on the house's rich, umami-driven style behind the label Yamasan Masamune. The kura sits along the Momen Kaido, a preserved old townscape, and five of its buildings — including the inspection hall — are registered as national cultural properties.
