The Story of 福鶴酒造

Fukutsuru Shuzo was founded in 1910 on a plateau in central Toyama, in Yatsuo — the town famed for the Owara Kaze no Bon dance festival — encircled by the 3,000-meter peaks of the Tateyama range. Meltwater from those mountains feeds the brewery's water source, and the kura has built its reputation on unwavering craft and quality since its founding. Its Kaze no Bon junmai, sold since 1981, is brewed entirely from organic, JAS-certified Koshihikari rice grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
