A Toyama brewery in Yatsuo — home of the Owara Kaze no Bon dance — brewing entirely from local rice and Tateyama mountain water.
Tamaasahi Shuzo has brewed since 1882 in Yatsuo, the Toyama Prefecture town famed for its Owara Kaze no Bon dance festival. The brewery draws soft groundwater from the Tateyama mountain range and uses only Toyama-grown rice across its entire lineup. Rather than scale up for mass production, Tamaasahi keeps output small so that each bottle can be handcrafted and, ideally, handed to customers directly.
