Since 1955 — 会津若松市, Fukushima
An Aizuwakamatsu house since 1955 whose sought-after Sharaku label is named for the mysterious ukiyo-e master, brewed under the creed 'love rice, love sake, love people.'
Miyaizumi Meijo was founded in 1955 in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima, guided by the creed 'love rice, love sake, love people.' The kura draws on the Aizu basin's abundant water and cool climate, using both local and out-of-prefecture rice suited to each brew. It produces three labels — Sharaku, Aizu Miyaizumi and Genbu — with the top-tier Sharaku Junmai Daiginjo 'Gokujo Niwari' milled down to just 20%, a grade so sought-after it is often hard to find.
Junmai Ginjo — Gohyakumangoku rice, polished to 50%
Junmai Daiginjo — Yamada Nishiki, polished to 20%
Junmai — Yume no Kaori rice, polished to 60%
