All-Fukushima brewing — Iide's waters, Kitakata's contract rice, and the Naraman label.
Yumegokoro Shuzo, founded in 1877 in Kitakata, brews on a strict all-Fukushima principle: subsoil water of Mt. Iide and rice from contract farmers in Kitakata itself. Its two labels are Yumegokoro and the acclaimed Naraman, and its locally grown Gohyakumangoku sakes took gold at the Annual Japan Sake Awards three years running. Sixth-generation head Toshinao Shoji holds the house to its creed — changing every year, unchanged every year. Tours run April to October, free with reservation.
