南部美人
Since 1902 — 二戸市, Iwate
A Nanbu toji stronghold in Ninohe whose sake has twice topped the world stage — Champion Sake at the IWC, first place at Sake Competition.
Based in Ninohe, Iwate, Nanbu Bijin brews in the Nanbu toji tradition, and is said to mark 120 years since its founding in 1902. Its tokubetsu junmai (a step above standard junmai) won the Champion Sake title at the International Wine Challenge in 2017, and its junmai daiginjo took first place at Sake Competition 2018 — a rare double of international recognition. Beyond sake, the brewery also produces craft gin and vodka.
