Since 1790 — 新発田市, Niigata
Clear, dry and fragrant since 1790 — with a five-year-aged ginjo called Nenrin.
Oumon Shuzo has brewed in the castle town of Shibata since 1790, pursuing sake that is clear, crisp and aromatic from fine local rice and Echigo toji technique. Its five-year-aged ginjo Nenrin — the tree-ring sake — is a house favourite. Tours for up to fifty people run 9:00–16:00 with tastings, groups by reservation.
