Since 1767 — 新潟市中央区, Niigata
Niigata City's closest kura to the station, brewing 100% junmai since giving up added alcohol in 2006.
Imayotsukasa was founded in 1767 and, since 2006, has brewed every drop as junmai — pure rice sake with no added distilled alcohol. Guided by a philosophy of connecting "now and the past, country and city, person and person," the brewery makes around 15 junmai varieties a year. Just a 15-minute walk from JR Niigata Station, it's the closest kura to the city center, and welcomes visitors for tours and tastings year-round.
